Aseel is a qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) and lawyer with a Master’s degree in Applied Law specialising in Family Dispute Resolution. She has worked in family law for over five years, representing clients in parenting and property matters, attending court, and running her own cases. Her firsthand experience in both the courtroom and mediation spaces has shaped her belief in the power of early resolution and the importance of keeping children at the centre of every decision.
Aseel founded Beyond Mediation to offer families a more compassionate, culturally sensitive, and solutions-focused alternative to litigation. Her practice combines legal insight with a calm, structured mediation process that empowers parents to move forward with clarity and mutual respect.
Deeply committed to community, Aseel has spent over a decade advocating for the local Muslim community. She is the founder of Podium, a not-for-profit organisation that supports Muslim youth through leadership, connection, and spiritual development. Her work with Podium and ongoing involvement in the community allow her to bring a culturally responsive approach to mediation particularly for families who value spiritual guidance in their decision-making.
In addition to standard family dispute resolution, Aseel offers Islamic Guided Mediation with the support of trusted Religious Advisors as well as Post-Mediation Counselling to help parents explain changes to their children and implement agreements smoothly.
Professional, empathetic, and outcomes-driven, Aseel is committed to helping families move beyond conflict and build more peaceful, stable futures.
